One owner, one timeline, in two languages
Every case at Wizea has one owner, who works with you in English and with the factory in Mandarin, on a written timeline. The process is written down before the order, in our Terms of sale, so both sides know each step in advance.
At pre-shipment inspection in Shenzhen
| Step | What happens | Cost allocation |
|---|---|---|
| Hold | The lot stays in Shenzhen until the finding is resolved; the balance is linked to the inspection result. | — |
| Document | Findings photographed and measured against the sealed sample and the written tolerance list; sample size and acceptance criteria stated | — |
| Classify | Critical, major, minor, under the criteria agreed at order | — |
| Decide | Rework, sorting, partial acceptance or replacement, agreed in writing with the factory | Rework and sorting for findings against approved criteria are for the factory's account; a change in your requirement after approval is for yours |
| Re-inspect | The reworked or replacement lot is inspected again before consolidation | Factory |
| Record | Corrective action requested and verified before the factory receives new orders | — |
Inspection in Shenzhen means findings are resolved close to the factory, before consolidation and before the balance is due.
After delivery
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| Case opened | Your report, with photographs, quantities, lot and date codes, is registered; you receive a case reference and the name of the owner | Same business day |
| Containment | Affected stock held on both sides; if your production needs it, alternative sourcing starts in parallel | Starts at case opening |
| Root cause | Investigation with the factory in its language; laboratory analysis where needed; findings in writing | Target date agreed at case opening |
| Corrective action | Replacement, rework, credit or refund under the Terms of sale; corrective action verified | As agreed |
A good case file makes each step faster: photographs with scale, quantities, carton numbers, date and lot codes and your incoming-inspection record. We ask for the same evidence from the factory, so root cause and corrective action rest on facts.
Schedule follow-up
The production schedule is on the order confirmation, and you receive status updates at agreed milestones. Holiday windows, such as Chinese New Year, are flagged inside the lead time on the quotation. Any deviation from the schedule is reported as soon as it is identified, together with the options: partial shipment, air freight of a first quantity at an agreed cost allocation, or a second source already qualified in the same category.
Tooling ownership
Tooling ownership is stated on the order before production starts. Our default for custom parts: tooling paid for by the buyer belongs to the buyer, is held at the factory for the programme, is listed in a tooling register with photographs and identification, and is released or transferred on written instruction. Tooling amortised in the piece price belongs to whoever the order names.
Scope, stated precisely
- Inspection depth is planned from the part and its history, so findings surface before dispatch and before the balance is due.
- Customs classification, duties and clearance in the destination country are handled by the importer and the broker, with our documents and support.
- The counterparty for every case is Wizea Technology Limited, Hong Kong, under Hong Kong law with HKIAC arbitration.
Short answers on this topic
What happens when a lot does not pass pre-shipment inspection?
The lot stays in Shenzhen; findings are documented against the agreed criteria and classified; rework, sorting or replacement is agreed with the factory; the result is re-inspected before consolidation; corrective action is recorded.
Who pays for rework?
Rework and sorting for findings against approved criteria are for the factory's account. A change in the buyer's requirement after approval is for the buyer's. The order states it.
How do I open a case after delivery?
Send photographs, quantities and lot codes. You receive a case reference and a named owner the same business day; containment starts at case opening; root cause and corrective action follow on agreed dates, with replacement, rework, credit or refund under the Terms of sale.
How am I kept informed about the production schedule?
Through the production schedule on the order confirmation, status updates at agreed milestones, and holiday windows flagged inside the quoted lead time.
Who owns the tooling?
What the order says. By default with Wizea, tooling paid for by you is yours, held at the factory for your programme and listed in a tooling register you can request.
