Frequently asked questions about sourcing from China and Asia, answered in English: how Wizea runs factory-direct programmes, finds and qualifies factories, sources hard-to-find components, inspects and consolidates shipments in Shenzhen, verifies certificates, hands over EXW and works with suppliers.

A. Finding a factory

How do I find a reliable factory in China for electronic components?

Start from the part, not the platform. Define the specification, the annual quantity and the certifications you need, then look for manufacturers whose business scope and equipment match it, and confirm with documents and samples before any deposit. That is the core of our factory-direct work: qualifying the factory, then supplying the part on a repeat schedule (passives, connectors, terminal blocks, discretes, magnetics, PCBs, cable assemblies, thermal materials, parts to drawing), with a Shenzhen team that works with the factories in Mandarin. Each quotation line states price, MOQ, lead time, validity, country of origin and the type of source.

Can a factory in China supply our parts on a delivery schedule?

Yes, through a factory-direct programme. Wizea qualifies the manufacturer, states "manufacturer" as the type of source on the line, agrees the delivery schedule with you against your forecast, inspects each lot in Shenzhen and contracts, invoices and issues export documents from Hong Kong. Wizea stays your single contracting party: one contract, one invoice, and quality and claims handled by us.

What is a sourcing agent and do I need one for industrial components?

A sourcing agent finds suppliers and manages orders on your behalf, usually for a commission; a trading company buys and resells under its own name with a margin; a factory sells only what it makes. Wizea is none of the three in the pure form: a Hong Kong sourcing specialist with its own Shenzhen sourcing and quality team, which discloses the kind of source on each quotation line, checks and packs in Shenzhen, hands over to your forwarder at the agreed point with complete documents and runs a quality system certified to ISO 9001:2015. Whether you need this depends on how much factory qualification, language and document work your own team can absorb.

Which product families can be sourced from factories in China and Asia?

Wizea's factory-sourcing work covers electronic components (passives, connectors, terminal blocks, discretes, magnetics), printed circuit boards, cable assemblies and custom parts made to the buyer's drawing in metal, plastic and rubber, plus industrial procurement of raw materials, machinery, equipment, tooling and spare parts. Customers are industrial manufacturers and EMS providers in automotive supply, lighting, industrial automation, energy, appliances and electronics manufacturing. Categories are described generically on purpose; send your own specification.

How long does it take to find and qualify a new factory?

It depends on the part, the documentation your quality system requires and whether samples or a first article are needed. Catalogue components move faster than parts to drawing with tooling. What Wizea commits to is a sourcing plan with expected timing agreed with you before work starts; progress is then reported at the milestones in that plan.

Do you source PCBs and cable assemblies, or only components?

Both. Printed circuit boards (rigid, multilayer, metal-core), cable assemblies (harnesses, jumpers, overmoulded cables) and custom parts to drawing are among the products Wizea finds and qualifies factories for, alongside electronic components. Quotations follow the same rule: price, MOQ, lead time, validity, country of origin and source category on each line, with tooling cost and ownership, packaging and payment stated on the same document before production.

Do you have people on the ground in China?

Yes. Our Shenzhen team handles sourcing, quality and consolidation and works with the factories in Mandarin: factory search, factory qualification and approval by documents, samples, first article and audit visits, specification play-back before tooling, sample control, in-factory and pre-release inspections, production follow-up, and receiving, checking and packing of lots, since Shenzhen is our main dispatch point. Contracts, invoicing and documents are run from the Hong Kong headquarters; Hong Kong can also receive cargo, and a European point is in development.

Can you source custom parts made to our drawing?

Yes. Custom parts to drawing (stamped, die-cast, machined, injection-moulded, rubber) are part of Wizea's factory-sourcing scope. Your drawing travels with our title block and drawing number; your company name, logo and approvers are removed before any factory sees it, and your company is not named to the factory unless you decide it should be. The factory is qualified for the process your drawing requires, a first article is checked against it, and the quotation states MOQ, lead time, validity, origin, tooling cost and tooling ownership.

Factory-direct supply

B. Qualifying a supplier

How do you confirm whether a Chinese supplier is a factory or a trading company?

We read the business scope of the business licence from the registry: a manufacturer's scope lists production, a trader's lists sales and import/export. We confirm the registered Chinese name in the public company registry, compare the registered address with the plant, review photos or video of your type of part being made on the line, and take samples from that line. Wizea's Shenzhen team does this in Chinese as part of qualification and states the channel (manufacturer, authorised channel or independent) on each quotation line.

What is the difference between a sourcing agent, a trading company and a factory?

A factory manufactures and sells its own output. A trading company buys from factories and resells under its own name with a margin. A sourcing agent works for the buyer for a commission and does not take title to the goods. Wizea is a sourcing company that qualifies the factory, discloses the kind of source on the quotation, contracts and invoices from Hong Kong, issues export documents and inspects lots before shipment. The full comparison is in the guide "Trading company, factory and Wizea: how the models compare".

How do I verify a Chinese business licence?

Use the 18-character unified social credit code and the registered Chinese name to look the company up in China's public enterprise credit information system, and compare legal representative, registered capital, address and business scope with what the supplier told you. The search works in the Chinese language, which is one reason buyers work with a Chinese-speaking team. Wizea's Shenzhen team performs these checks during factory qualification and records them in the qualification summary you receive under NDA.

How do I verify a Hong Kong company such as Wizea?

Search the Hong Kong Companies Registry by name or number. Wizea Technology Limited is incorporated in Hong Kong, Company No. 3329284, founded 2023, registered office 19/F, Shun Feng International Centre, 182 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Its ISO 9001:2015 (certificate 46625Q108377R0S) and ISO 14001:2015 (certificate 46625E108378R0S) certificates were issued by Shenzhen Zhongxin Certification Testing, accredited by CNAS (C295-M), and can be checked on the certification body's website from our Quality page. Payments are made only to accounts in the name of Wizea Technology Limited.

How should a deposit to a supplier in China be handled?

Pay the verified legal entity you contracted with, into an account in that company's registered name, and link the balance to a milestone you can see, such as the shipping documents. Wizea's payment security practice is public: payments only to accounts in the name of Wizea Technology Limited; bank details are never changed by e-mail; any change is confirmed by call-back. The payment schedule is on the proforma and the purchase order before production.

How does your Shenzhen team work with factories?

Directly and in Mandarin. The Shenzhen sourcing and quality team qualifies and approves factories by documents, samples, first article and audit visits, plays back specifications before tooling, follows production with in-factory inspections and a pre-release inspection before goods are released, and receives and checks each lot, then packs it for dispatch; the source category is disclosed on each quotation line. Where a programme calls for additional steps, we propose them before you order.

What should a serious quotation from China contain?

At minimum: unit price, MOQ, lead time, validity date, country of origin and who the source is. Each Wizea quotation line states all six, including whether the source is the manufacturer, an authorised channel or an independent source. For parts to drawing, tooling cost and ownership, packaging and payment terms are on the same document. With all six fields stated, quotations can be compared line by line.

How do I check a supplier in Hong Kong or China before paying?

Three checks, in order. Registry: the Hong Kong Companies Registry (by name or number) or China's enterprise credit system (by 18-character unified social credit code and registered Chinese name). Licence and scope: production verbs for a manufacturer, sales-only for a trader. Certificates: the number at the issuing body, the body's accreditation (CNAS, an IAF MLA signatory, for Chinese ISO certificates), the scope. Then the payment practice: account in the registered name, bank details fixed and confirmed by call-back. Wizea publishes its own numbers so you can run these checks on us first.

Sourcing agent, trading company or factory: which is best for industrial electronic components?

A factory suits a buyer with its own team in China; a trading company suits a broad catalogue buy; an agent suits a buyer who wants local support for its own relationships. Wizea suits manufacturers who want factory-made parts on a repeat schedule, with qualification, inspection, consolidation and documents from one partner that buys and sells in its own name and states the channel on each line.

Manufacturer development

BOM kitting

What is BOM kitting?

One supplier buys every line of your bill of materials and delivers it as a complete kit, every component on the BOM, ready for your assembler's line. With Wizea the kit comes on one quotation, one invoice and one shipment, sold by Wizea Technology Limited, Hong Kong.

What is the difference between BOM kitting and turnkey assembly?

In turnkey assembly the contract manufacturer buys the parts and builds the boards. In BOM kitting Wizea supplies the complete kit, every component on the BOM, and the build stays with you or with the assembler you choose.

Can you combine factory-made parts and distributor parts in one shipment?

Yes. Lines from qualified factories, authorised channels and independent sources are received and checked in Shenzhen, then consolidated into one shipment, on one Wizea invoice. We have combined up to 15 suppliers in a single shipment.

Do you propose alternative manufacturers or cross-references?

Yes. Where a line is long-lead, on allocation or past end-of-life, we propose alternatives and cross-references line by line. Your engineering team approves each one in writing before we buy.

Can the kit go to my contract manufacturer?

The kit is handed over at the handover point to the forwarder you nominate, who can deliver it to your contract manufacturer as a consigned kit. We prepare the documents for that route and stay in touch until it arrives.

What if I share target prices?

We work to your targets and report, line by line, where each target is met and the closest option where a target needs more work.

BOM kitting

C. Hard-to-find, shortage and EOL components

Where can I buy obsolete electronic components?

After the manufacturer's last-time-buy window closes, obsolete parts come from the open market: excess stock of OEMs and EMS providers, authorised distributors' remaining inventory and independent distributors. Wizea sources hard-to-find, shortage and end-of-life components worldwide, states on each quotation line whether the source is the manufacturer, an authorised channel or independent, inspects lots in Shenzhen before dispatch under controls aligned with SAE AS6081A and orders laboratory tests to SAE AS6171A methods through independent laboratories when the risk requires them.

What is an independent distributor and how is it different from a broker?

An independent distributor buys and sells components outside the manufacturer's franchised channel but operates a documented quality system: incoming inspection, traceability, quarantine, certified processes. A broker mainly matches buyer and seller and leaves inspection to the buyer. Wizea operates independent distribution under an ISO 9001:2015-certified system with counterfeit-avoidance controls aligned with SAE AS6081A (not certified to it) and independent-laboratory testing to SAE AS6171A methods when the risk requires them.

Independent vs authorised (franchised) distributor: which should I use?

Use the authorised channel whenever it has stock and lead time that fit your line; traceability is full. Use an independent source when the part is on allocation, end-of-life or needed sooner than the channel can supply, with three things in place: the kind of source disclosed, inspection before dispatch, and tests at the depth the part calls for. Wizea's quotation tells you which of the two you are being offered on each line, so the decision is yours and documented, and you may restrict an order to manufacturer and authorised sources.

How do you handle components on allocation or in shortage?

Our sourcing team searches worldwide for allocated and shortage parts, qualifies each offer by source category and documents, and inspects the lot in Shenzhen before dispatch. Each offer states price, MOQ, lead time, validity, country of origin and channel so you can compare it with your authorised channel's date. Duplicate offers of the same lot are merged, so you see each lot once. Urgent lines are flagged in the RFQ form or sent by WhatsApp or WeChat, and worked first.

What documents come with hard-to-find parts?

The quotation line stating country of origin and kind of source; the commercial invoice and packing list issued by Wizea Technology Limited, Hong Kong; and manufacturer documents received with the lot, unaltered, where the source provided them. Other documents your programme requires are agreed at RFQ stage and listed on the order.

Do you hold stock?

Wizea quotes from the market and from qualified factories. Lots are received, checked and packed together in Shenzhen; the quotation states the handover point (Shenzhen in most cases, or Hong Kong; Europe in development), and each line carries lead time and validity so you know when your forwarder can collect. The validity date on the quotation line is the reference for availability.

What is a last-time-buy and how should I plan for obsolescence?

A last-time-buy is the final order window a manufacturer opens before discontinuing a part. Planning means tracking PCN and EOL notices for your BOM, deciding lifetime quantities (remaining production life, annual usage, service allowance), budgeting storage and moisture-sensitive handling, and qualifying a second source early. Wizea supports two paths: worldwide sourcing of remaining EOL stock with the source category stated, and, for passives, connectors, terminal blocks, discretes, magnetics and parts to drawing, qualifying a factory to make an equivalent to your specification, with technical approval staying with your engineering.

How do you document the source of obsolete components?

We search the manufacturer and its authorised channels first, including the manufacturer's last-time-buy while it is open, then screened independent sources worldwide that state their channel on the line, with inspection before dispatch under controls aligned with SAE AS6081A and laboratory tests to SAE AS6171A methods when the risk requires them; and, where the family allows, a factory-made equivalent qualified to your specification. Duplicate offers of the same lot are merged. We tell you before payment when a lot goes to a laboratory.

What is your minimum order?

MOQ is stated on each quotation line, because it depends on the manufacturer or the source, not on us. For factory-direct parts, industrial programmes run for years, so we plan for repeat lots and second-source stability, and we tell you in the quotation when a small first lot is possible. For hard-to-find lines, short lists and small quantities are quoted with the same care; the MOQ is the source's, stated per line.

Hard-to-find components

F. Logistics, Incoterms and documents

What is the difference between EXW and FCA?

Under EXW the seller makes the goods available at its premises, not loaded, and the buyer handles loading, export clearance and transport. Under FCA the seller delivers the goods to the carrier named by the buyer, and risk passes once loaded. The great majority of Wizea's sales are EXW (Incoterms 2020), sold and exported by Wizea Technology Limited, our Hong Kong company; FCA is available on request. Your nominated forwarder or agent collects in Shenzhen, or at the handover point on the quotation, with complete documents.

Why do you sell EXW instead of delivering to my door?

Because industrial buyers usually work with their own forwarder, customs broker and import process, and keeping those in your hands keeps freight, insurance and import costs visible and comparable across all your suppliers. Wizea's part is the goods, checked and packed in Shenzhen, the documents and a clean handover at the agreed point to the forwarder or agent you nominate; we let you know when your agent has collected and stay in touch until your goods arrive. FCA is available on request. When it helps, we can introduce a forwarder or broker we have worked with.

Where is the handover point?

Shenzhen in most cases, since it is our main point for receiving, inspection, consolidation and dispatch; Hong Kong is also available, and a European point is in development. The handover point is stated on each quotation, which is the information your logistics needs.

Can my forwarder collect in China or Hong Kong?

Yes, in Shenzhen, our main dispatch point, or in Hong Kong. Your nominated forwarder or agent collects at the agreed handover point under EXW (FCA on request), with the commercial invoice, packing list and other agreed documents provided by Wizea Technology Limited. Tell us the collection window and your forwarder's details when you place the order; we provide the documents before collection and let you know when your agent has collected.

Who handles import duties and customs in my country?

You, as the importer, with your customs broker. Wizea provides the documents and states the country of origin on the quotation line and on the documents, so your broker can classify the goods and estimate duty before you order, and we support your broker with any clarification. Import classification, duties, taxes and clearance are handled by the importer and the broker.

Do you ship to Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia?

Yes. We work with buyers in any region: goods are consolidated in Shenzhen and handed over at the handover point to the buyer's forwarder or agent, who carries them to the destination under the buyer's own freight, insurance and import arrangements; we stay in touch until the goods arrive. The destination country is asked for in the RFQ so the country-of-origin information and the documents match what your broker will need.

What does "country of origin" on the quotation mean for me?

It tells you where the goods were made, which drives import duty, trade-remedy exposure, origin marking and some of your own customers' requirements. Wizea states it on each quotation line so your customs broker can estimate landed cost before the order is placed, and the same origin appears on the shipping documents. Consolidation in Shenzhen or transit through Hong Kong leaves the origin of the goods unchanged, and the documents state the true origin.

Which Incoterm does Wizea use?

EXW, in the great majority of orders. Wizea Technology Limited, our Hong Kong company, sells and exports; goods are received, checked and packed together in Shenzhen and handed over to the forwarder or agent you nominate, who arranges export and transport with our documents. FCA is available on request, agreed on the quotation and the order. Name your forwarder or agent on the order, and ask your broker which documents your destination requires before you order.

Where are shipments received, inspected and consolidated?

Most shipments are consolidated in Shenzhen, Wizea's main point for receiving, inspection, consolidation and dispatch, close to the factories we work with. We can also receive cargo in Hong Kong, and a European point is in development. From these points the goods are handed over at the agreed point to the forwarder or agent you nominate.

Do you stay in touch after handover?

Yes. We let you know when the agent you nominated has collected the goods, answer your forwarder's and broker's questions, introduce a forwarder or broker when that helps, and stay in touch until your goods arrive. One person at Wizea stays with your order from RFQ to arrival.

Shenzhen and handover

E. Quality and counterfeit avoidance

What are Wizea's counterfeit-avoidance controls?

Three layers. Source discipline: source category and country of origin stated on each quotation line, with preference for manufacturer and authorised sources. Inspection of lots in Shenzhen before dispatch under counterfeit-avoidance controls aligned with SAE AS6081A: visual and marking, packaging, date and lot codes, moisture-sensitive handling, chain of custody where available. Laboratory tests to SAE AS6171A methods through independent laboratories when the risk requires them. Parts that do not pass inspection are quarantined and kept out of shipments. Wizea's controls are aligned with AS6081A, not certified to it.

What is SAE AS6081 and are you certified?

SAE AS6081 is the counterfeit-avoidance standard written for independent distributors: supplier controls, risk-based inspection of open-market parts, quarantine and reporting. Wizea's controls are aligned with AS6081A; the company is not certified to it. Its certified management system is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, issued by a CNAS-accredited body and verifiable online. We state the distinction precisely because supplier-quality engineers read it first.

What is SAE AS6171 and when do you test parts?

AS6171 defines laboratory test methods (visual, X-ray, XRF, marking-permanence and surface tests, decapsulation, electrical and others) so results are comparable between laboratories; it certifies methods, not companies. Wizea orders tests to AS6171A methods through independent laboratories when a lot needs them: independent source, high value, safety-related application, unusual part history. The test scope can be agreed with you, and we tell you before payment when a lot goes to a laboratory.

How does quarantine work at Wizea?

Parts that do not pass inspection are segregated, recorded and kept out of shipments. We tell you, and the line is searched again or cancelled, as agreed with you; the finding shapes how we treat that source for future offers. If your production needs it, alternative sourcing starts in parallel.

Are you ISO 9001 certified, and how can I verify the certificate?

Yes: ISO 9001:2015, certificate 46625Q108377R0S, and ISO 14001:2015, certificate 46625E108378R0S, issued by Shenzhen Zhongxin Certification Testing, accredited by CNAS (C295-M), an IAF MLA signatory; both valid to 30 March 2028. Verify at https://www.szccqc.cn/sou.html?key=46625Q108377R0S&cid=86 and https://www.szccqc.cn/sou.html?key=46625E108378R0S&cid=86. The certificates can also be downloaded from our Quality page; the scope covers sales of electronic components, PCBs, cable harnesses, hardware and plastic parts, machinery and equipment.

How do I verify a Chinese ISO certificate?

Check three things: the certificate exists in the certification body's or CNCA's public database; the certification body is accredited (CNAS list; CNAS is an IAF MLA signatory); and the scope on the certificate covers the product or process you are buying. The verification happens at the source, the certification body. Wizea publishes its certificate numbers, the issuing body, its CNAS accreditation number and the verification links so buyers can do this in a minute, and applies the same check to the factories it qualifies.

How are lots inspected before shipment?

Each lot is received in Shenzhen and inspected before dispatch against the sealed approved sample, the written tolerance list and the packing list. Inspection depth follows the part and its history (sampling standard, sample size and acceptance criteria are set in our inspection plan), and laboratory tests to SAE AS6171A methods are added when the risk requires them. Parts that do not pass inspection are quarantined and kept out of shipments.

What is the difference between ISO 9001 and a counterfeit-avoidance standard?

ISO 9001 certifies a quality management system: processes, records, corrective action, improvement. Authenticity testing is outside its scope. SAE AS6081 adds the specific controls for open-market electronic parts: source selection, risk-based inspection, quarantine, reporting. Wizea holds ISO 9001:2015 as a certification and applies AS6081A as aligned controls, which is why the site describes them separately and precisely rather than as one badge.

Quality and certificates

D. Procurement outsourcing and supplier development

What does "strategic procurement and supplier development" mean in practice?

It means mapping the supply market for a family of parts, qualifying candidate manufacturers, running RFQs with comparable terms, negotiating, and following production so the supplier becomes a stable second source. Wizea offers this to industrial buyers in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia, with the Shenzhen team working in Mandarin with the factories and Hong Kong handling contracts and documents. You receive the market map, the qualification summaries, a line-by-line comparison and a supplier scorecard; the decision stays with you.

Do you source machinery, equipment and spare parts, not only electronics?

Yes. Industrial procurement of raw materials (copper, aluminium, resins, technical consumables), machinery and equipment, tooling and spare parts, including parts made to drawing when the original is discontinued, is one of Wizea's service lines. The same quotation discipline applies (price, MOQ, lead time, validity, origin, kind of source), with consolidation in Shenzhen, handover at the agreed point and complete documents, and support at factory acceptance for equipment.

How do you charge: commission, margin or fee?

For goods, we buy in our own name and sell in our own name; our margin is in the price you see on the quotation line. We take no undisclosed commissions; representation commissions received from manufacturers we represent are declared in the relevant agreements. For buyers who need their own factory relationship, we also run sourcing and qualification as a fee-based project, agreed in writing. There is no fee to send an RFQ and no fee for suppliers to register.

Do you represent Asian manufacturers abroad?

Yes. Wizea represents a small number of Asian manufacturers with industrial buyers in Europe, North America and Latin America under written agreements: technical presentation, quotations, samples, order follow-up and claims through one Hong Kong company. Lines are disclosed to qualified buyers on request; the named line card is sent under NDA. Manufacturers that want to be considered apply through the "Become a supplier" page.

Which industries do you work with?

Industrial manufacturers and EMS providers in automotive supply, lighting, industrial automation, energy, appliances and electronics manufacturing, in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. Customer names are not published; sectors and regions are. If your sector is not on that list, the method is the same: the question is whether the part can be qualified, inspected and documented, not which industry it goes into.

Industrial procurement

G. The company and how we work

Who is Wizea?

Wizea Technology Limited is a Hong Kong sourcing company (founded 2023, Company No. 3329284) that supplies industrial manufacturers with factory-direct parts on repeat programmes, complete BOM kits and hard-to-find electronic components, with shipments checked and packed together in Shenzhen. It also provides industrial procurement and represents selected Asian manufacturers abroad. It is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015; Shenzhen is its main dispatch point, with Hong Kong (HQ) also receiving cargo and a European point in development.

How experienced is the team if the company was founded in 2023?

The company was founded in 2023; its two founders have been buying electronic components since 2001 and 2010, with 1,000+ end-to-end procurement and import programmes between them and 40+ years of combined experience.

How fast do you reply to an RFQ?

First response within one business day, Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 Hong Kong time, from the sourcing specialist who will handle your request, with any questions on what is missing. The full quotation time depends on the part and the number of sources to qualify: open-market parts are faster, parts to drawing follow samples. Urgent lines, where production is waiting, are flagged in the RFQ form and handled first.

How do I contact you?

E-mail sales@wizea.com.hk, or WhatsApp / WeChat +86 132 4612 6379 (Shenzhen sourcing office), or the RFQ form on the Request a quote page. Suppliers write to suppliers@wizea.com.hk; privacy requests go to privacy@wizea.com.hk. Registered office: Wizea Technology Limited, 19/F, Shun Feng International Centre, 182 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Hours Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 HKT.

Which languages do you work in?

Wizea works in English and Mandarin. The Shenzhen team works with the factories in Mandarin and plays back specifications in the Chinese language before tooling; our commercial desk works with buyers in English, and quotations are issued in English. The question lines on this page in other languages help buyers find the answers; the answers themselves are in English.

Who is the factory?

We will tell you, at the right stage and under confidentiality. For a quotation you get the channel, the country of origin and the certifications, which is what you need to choose the channel. Once we move to qualification, you receive the factory's identity, qualification summary and certificates under NDA, because your quality system needs them, and the qualified part is then supplied through us for the programme: the factory network is the product you are paying for, and the inspection, consolidation, documents and payment security come with it.

Are you an intermediary?

Yes, a declared one. We buy in our own name and sell in our own name; our margin is in the price. We take no undisclosed commissions. The counterparty on your contract is Wizea Technology Limited, Hong Kong, and what you pay for is the qualified factory network, the inspection and consolidation in Shenzhen, the documents and the payment security.

Do you take commissions?

We take no undisclosed commissions. For goods we sell, our margin is in the price on the quotation line. Where we represent a manufacturer abroad, the representation commission is declared in the relevant agreement. We neither request nor accept commissions from factories on orders we place with them, so we work for one side: our customer.

What does Wizea do at the factories?

Our Shenzhen team carries out factory qualification and approval, audit visits to factories, in-factory inspections, production follow-up and a pre-release inspection before goods are released, and then follows the cargo through receiving, consolidation and handover. The depth of each step follows the part and the programme, and results are shared with you at the agreed milestones.

About Wizea

H. For factories and distributors

How can a factory in China or Asia become a Wizea supplier?

Through the "For suppliers" page: pre-register in ten fields; documents follow through a link we send. Document screening by the Shenzhen team within two business days; a capability call in Mandarin within ten; then a non-disclosure, non-use, non-circumvention agreement in the Chinese language and the framework agreement, and a sample or first article on a live requirement, after which the factory is qualified for its category and receives demand from industrial buyers in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. Registration is free, and each application receives a written decision with its reasons.

Does Wizea represent manufacturers in Europe and the Americas?

Yes, a small number of selected Asian manufacturers, under written agreements with territory, registered accounts and a declared commission, with technical presentation, quotations, samples and order follow-up to industrial buyers in Europe, North America and Latin America. Manufacturers interested in representation tick the option on the pre-registration form; what appears on this site by name is set by a separate brand-use authorisation.

Will you show our logo on your site?

We would like to, under an agreement. Our site shows a manufacturer by name once we hold an exclusive or territory representation agreement and a written brand-use authorisation, which protects the relationship for both of us. Until then we present you as a profiled qualified source (region, process, certification) and in our named line card under NDA, which reaches the buyers who place orders.

Who pays whom?

Wizea is your customer. We place the purchase order and pay according to the payment terms written on it before production starts; we invoice the end buyer ourselves. We take no undisclosed commissions and we ask for none.

How long does supplier qualification take?

Document screening within two business days of your pre-registration; a capability call in Mandarin within ten business days; then signature of a non-disclosure, non-use, non-circumvention agreement in the Chinese language and the framework agreement, which depends on you; then a sample or first article on a live requirement, which depends on when a requirement in your category arrives. There is no fee at any step, and each decision comes in writing, with its reasons.

Can we meet your customers?

Technical questions between engineers are arranged through Wizea when a programme requires it, with an agreed agenda: the specification, the tooling and the inspection criteria. Commercial contact runs through us, and enquiries you receive from our customers are forwarded to us. That is the service our customers pay for, and we respect your side in the same way: your name is published only with your authorisation. Supplier terms Become a supplier
